Bringing Playfulness & Confidence to Acne Care

Project Brief

Smacne was a brand that lacks resonating visual identity and personality. By diving deep into the brand story and core values, we were able to develop the entirely new look and feel. Smacne is no longer just another skincare brand — it is a bold, vibrant, and confidence-boosting experience. Designed with the Jester brand archetype, the brand breaks away from the sterile, clinical feel of the traditional acne treatments. Through bold visuals, playful copywriting, and an engaging brand experience, Smacne transforms skincare into something people love to use—turning a once-dreaded routine into a moment of joy.

Strategy

Creating a Frisky and Vibrant acne treatment brand that Young Adults could Reclaim their Confidence & Joy

The original brand has an impactful name and product, but it greatly lacks personality. Hence, we leaned into the motion of “smack” and translated it into a set of unique visual language.

By scanning smacked textures and transforming them into dynamic patterns, we infused the brand’s logo, packaging, website, and motion graphics with an unmistakable sense of movement and fun.

Beyond aesthetics, Smacne resonates emotionally. One of the most powerful stories comes from a user who wrote to thank the founder — sharing how acne had made her feel shy and insecure. After discovering Smacen, she regained her confidence and joy. This is the essence of Smacne: not just treating acne, but empowering people to feel good in their skin.

Interactive Website

Magically Stacked Ingredients

Smacne is a subscription-based skincare brand; thus, the digital experience is especially essential for the young adults who require regular and sustained treatments. An App was created to match the need of the client and its customers who mostly use mobile phones to engage with the brand. The digital application could keep track and remind the customers of their skincare routine, their treatment progresses, and their product supplies.
